* OUTER TENT ONLY – Tri, Loj, Cottage, Quad
- Do not spray insecticides or bug repellent directly on the fabric. This may damage the water-repellent treatment.
- Brush off and shake out any sand or dried-on dirt.
- Keep sand/dirt out of the teeth of the zippers; Help them roll smoothly with counter pressure if necessary.
- Spot clean first.
- Hand wash only with cold to lukewarm water- machine washing will damage the waterproof & fire-resistant coatings as well as seam taping.
- Clean your tent with water ONLY. Soaps and detergents will damage your tent’s water repellency and fire resistance.
- DO NOT use a brush or other hard/abrasive objects to clean the tents. USE a soft towel or sponge to clean any mud, leaves, grass, snow, etc.
- DO NOT bleach. DO NOT iron.
- Use a silicone-based water-repellency treatment as needed to maintain your tent.
- Make sure the tent is completely dry before you store it. Storing a wet or damp tent, can ruin it and will void the warranty.
- Store your tent in a dry/cool place, direct sunlight is bad for your tent while it is being stored. If you have no choice but to store your kit somewhere prone to dampness, like a shed or garage, then use sealed storage boxes or plastic crates to ensure moisture can’t get in.
- Avoid placing heavy items directly on top of the packed tent.
- Keep the tent away from any heat sources. The outer tent is CPAI-84 fire resistant, but not fireproof. Heat will damage the tent.
